Behind the Scenes: Sparkx sportainment park in Nieuwegein

The design for the first Dutch branch of Europe’s largest sports and entertainment complex is almost complete.

A sneak preview: in Nieuwegein, Sparkx is building a facility spanning over 6,000 square metres, housing more than 50 sports attractions under one roof.

As designers of the Sparkx concept, we are creating a cohesive space that combines sport, play and social interaction. The way visitors move through the building, the layout of the attractions, the design of the café and changing rooms, and the choice of colours and materials: everything contributes to a truly immersive sporting experience.

Sparkx Utrecht will soon offer facilities for indoor archery, horse riding, virtual Formula 1 racing, a zip line, ice hockey and dozens of other activities.
