Sparkx - Belgium's largest sportainment park

Sparkx Antwerp: designing a new sports experience.

Sparkx will open its third location in Belgium in the spring of 2026. After Hasselt and Ghent, the former San Marco Village in Antwerp-Schelle is getting a new purpose: a 5,000-square-meter sports park with more than fifty sports attractions under one roof.

Our design

As interior designers for the Sparkx concept, we worked on a spatial whole that combines sport, play, and connection. From the layout of the attractions to the design of the catering and locker rooms, from the routing through the building to the choice of colors and materials: every element contributes to an accessible and playful sports experience.

The park offers indoor horseback riding, virtual Formula 1 racing, ice hockey, and dozens of other activities. A quarter of the attractions were developed entirely by the Sparkx team itself, further strengthening the brand's identity.

Strategy as a starting point

The choice of Antwerp Schelle aligns with Sparkx's growth strategy, which, with its concept, proves that sports can be widely accessible. The locations in Hasselt and Ghent attract a diverse audience: from young to old, experienced athletes to curious visitors. This diversity formed the basis for our design choices.

With Antwerp as its largest and most innovative location to date, Sparkx is taking the next step. The physical environment supports its ambition: to create a place where everyone can move, explore, and have fun together.
