On Monday, November 24, the new Schiphol North Bicycle Service Point officially opened. This location will become a key central facility, making cycling more attractive and accessible for Schiphol visitors and employees. Cyclists will be able to visit the location next year for bicycle repairs, maintenance, service, and advice.

Alderman for Mobility Marja Ruigrok attended the official launch and emphasized the importance of cycling at and around Schiphol: "As vice-chair of the Transport Region, I'm incredibly proud of this special project. As far as I know, it will be the first true bicycle service point in the Netherlands. My dream is for these bicycle service points to be found throughout the Netherlands in a few years. And for them to become as common as gas stations. Because, let's face it, even when you cycle long distances, it's nice to 'refuel' every now and then."
A multi-layered junction
On the Loevesteinse Randweg, we designed the bicycle service point that combines various functions, next to the striking Schiphol Noord bus station, which we built ten years earlier.
Cyclists will find a place to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, or seek shelter from the rain. But it goes beyond mere comfort: with a bicycle repair shop, maintenance, and advice, the facility contributes to Schiphol's position as a multimodal hub, where efficient and sustainable mobility takes center stage.

Modular and flexible
Together with BAM, the Amsterdam Transport Region, Schiphol Group, and partners such as ICT Group, Shimano, and the Schiphol Aviation Community, we are developing a modular and flexible concept, ready to scale up as the first step in a broader network of mobility hubs.
Opening: spring 2026
