The 17th of June the new Stedelijk Museum Breda opened its doors. The museum is the result of a merge between the MOTI (Museum Of The Image) and the Breda’s Museum and houses in the former Oudemannenhuis.
We organized in a spatial sense the merging of the Museum of the Image, MOTI and Breda's Museum. With respect for the existing architecture and with a uniform design language we designed the entrance area, the café with shop and two exhibitions.
We answered the question of creating unification to great satisfaction with a beautiful new building which centers the interaction between heritage, visual arts en artculture. “The team of Claessens Erdmann has made one connecting design. A unique approach with a convincing result”, as the new Stedelijk Museum stated.
