MR MARVIS is a premium clothing brand known for its stylish shorts for men, made from high-quality materials with attention to detail and fit. MR MARVIS asked us to provide design management on the development of the MR MARVIS brand stores in the Netherlands and Belgium.
In 2020, the brand opened the doors of its first physical shop on P.C. Hooftstraat in Amsterdam. In 2024, MR. MARVIS announced a substantial expansion; the number of stores will continue to expand significantly.

In 2020, the brand opened the doors of its first physical store on Amsterdam's P.C. Hooftstraat. In early 2024, MR. MARVIS announced a major expansion: with 15 stores opened and the 16th on the way, the number of branches will expand even further.
According to the brand, the major expansion meets the needs of customers, who would prefer an offline experience.
Personalized style advice should further enhance the customer experience.

The MR. MARVIS DNA
The essence of MR. MARVIS lies in bringing together timeless quality and contemporary style. Since their B Corp certification, (As of March 2023, MR MARVIS is the largest Dutch clothing brand with the B Corp certification) they are taking the sustainability strategy to the next level. The brand's DNA is built on three pillars: excellent fit, high-quality materials and a refreshing richness of color. These core values translate into a brand experience that puts personal attention at the center - something that is becoming increasingly rare in the digital world.
From Rotterdam to Maastricht, from Ghent to Munich - every MR. MARVIS store is an outlet with the recognizable brand identity. Ce.'s expertise was called upon to make each location a spatial translation of the MR. MARVIS DNA.
From concept to realization
We proceed methodically with each new store. The process begins with a thorough due diligence: site visit, permit check and a comprehensive feasibility study. After approval follows the site survey, in which we develop the first construction drawing based on a 3D scan of the space.
In the preliminary phase, we develop the 3D design and façade drawing, followed by the final design with detailed floor plans, ceiling and interior drawings, material specifications, lighting and air systems, and construction drawings.
For across-the-border stores, we put together a permit set for local permits, then proceed to the tender set: a complete set of construction drawings that the contractor can use to estimate and build. This careful approach ensures that every store, regardless of location, bears the MR. MARVIS signature.
