Grand Café Lido in the heart of Amsterdam
The "Grand Café Lido Amsterdam (Grand Café by the water, Lido literally means shore) has known many landlords over time. The history of the Lido at the Leidseplein of Amsterdam goes back to 1884. The place and purpose are unchanged. The building has been redone and the entrepreneur has been Holland Casino since 1991.
As "house architect" of Holland Casino, we were commissioned to translate the restaurant's "look and feel" into a modern metropolitan Brasserie where all-day dishes are serviced from the open plan kitchen.
